Lim Bay – Canale di Leme: “St. Romualdo’s cavity is 105 meters long”
The entrance of the cave is not big and you can not enter into it, but is known that is 105 meters long and in some places the halls are even 6 meters high. The cave was used by men in prehistoric times and the temperature is during the whole year between 14-17°C.
Before starting the hermit life, St. Romualdo founded the Benedictine Monastery of St. Michael in Klostar. The ruins of this Monastery from the early Romanesque period are located above the northern shore of the bay.
