Villa Smrikve - your private accommodation in Pula (Istria - Croatia) with tennis courts and heated swimming pool

Villa Smrikve is a privately owned estate, situated on the outskirts of the city of Pula, in the old Roman Astinianum (Stinjan), surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. It is located mere 5 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from Pula’s Roman Arena, about 15 minutes from Pula’s International Airport and only few kilometers from the World famous Brioni islands.

Villa Smrikve is also one of Pula’s finest private tennis facilities featuring three courts – top quality clay surface with lights, swimming pool, barbecue, children playground, table tennis, eco garden, parking area and beautiful garden. Smrikva Bowl is hosted every year in Smrikve.

For those who enjoy culture there are many lovely towns, villages and places that are worth to be visited such as: Vodnjan, Bale, Rovinj, Groznjan, Motovun, Porec, Labin, Hum, Dvigrad, etc. The nature on Brioni Islands is extraordinary while Pula is worth visiting for its famous Roman Arena.You can make a virtual visit of each of the above mentioned places by visiting E-book „Istria from Smrikve“.

Every year in Arena of Pula various World known singers and artists are hosted. There is also a possibility to make a daily trip to Venice that is located exactly on the other side of the Adriatic sea.

Smrikva – „Juniper“

This traditional Istrian style accommodation is fully equipped with modern equipments such as: microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, wireless system for the internet and CD stereo.

On the ground floor you find a typical Istrian fireplace, the kitchen angle and an over 100 year’s old piano. The sleeping room with satellite TV is located on the first floor and is characterized with mansard roof, a warm wooden made floor, traditional furniture and bathroom.

Smrikva is a juniper plant and Villa Smrikve surrounding was historically covered with juniper plants.

Ulika – „Olive“

Ulika accommodation unit is ideal apartment for a big family or a group of friends. It is located on the top floor of Villa Smrikve and its particularity is that of being a mansard.

The furniture selected to equip this apartment is more modern if compared to Smrikva and Trs. ULIKA is fully equipped with modern equipments such as: microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, wireless system for the internet and radio.

Ulika means olive in English and Istrian olive oil, the same as wine, was very famous during the Roman Empire. Olive oil is important also today and is considered among the best in the World.

Trs – „Vine“

Vine is ideal accommodation unit for a couple or a family with two children. It is located on the ground floor of Villa Smrikve and its position and marble floor make its temperature comfortable also during the summer period.

TRS is equipped with: air condition, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, satellite TV and WI-FI.

If you observe with attention the paintings you may note the difference between the living room and the sleeping room. On purpose in the living room is dominant Istrian land motif on paintings where the vine is grown while in the sleeping room are dominant paintings with sea motif. The sea characterizes the area from where the Istrian Malvazija was brought into Istria.

Trs means vine in English and Istrian wine was famous during the Roman Empire, Venetian Republic period and is famous also today. An excellent Malvazija is traditionally made by our family.
